How long does it take to make an injection mould?

Customers usually receive the first samples (T0) from a simple mould 3–5 weeks, from a medium mould 6–8 weeks and from a large mould 8–12 weeks after the mould design is approved. We run T0 and T1 trials on C-TECH presses in the same plant in Kowary, so we never wait for a free slot at another moulder.

After the T0 trials we adjust the mould to the customer's comments and run T1 trials. The exact date is in the quote.

What does the price of an injection mould depend on?

C-FORM prices a mould from the 3D model of the part. The mould section marks the elements that affect the price most.

How much does a hot runner add?

We price the hot runner separately in every quote, because it depends on the part, the material, the number of cavities and gates. A hot runner raises the price of the mould, but it shortens the cycle and leaves no sprue, so in large series it often pays for itself.

A mould from Poland or from Asia?

A simple mould from Asia often costs a few thousand dollars, but transport, duty, quality control and corrections handled at a distance come on top. You collect a C-FORM mould in Kowary, 91 km from Wrocław, 128 km from Prague and 150 km from Dresden, and trials, corrections and service happen in the same plant.

How do I get an exact mould quote?

Send the 3D model of the part (STEP, IGES or Parasolid), a drawing with tolerances, the material and the annual quantity through the form. If something is missing, the toolmaker will ask. Based on that we prepare a quote with the price and the date.
